Professional dignity and the online manners

In this great Internet era, the human interaction is not only advancing the human knowledge but provides a great satisfaction and the feeling of accomplishment for many of us. Yet, there is a very, very small group of people who sinks the human dignity to a lower level.

In a comment page (http://blog.vixra.org/2012/05/10/bayes-and-susy/#comments ), the commenter Andrew wrote, “I was enjoying debating this, but you’ve descended into name calling. Sorry, not interested.”

Regardless of Andrew being right or wrong about his math, he has upheld the human dignity. Regardless of the name-caller’s math being right or wrong, he is a shame by calling other names.

Anyone resorts to name calling (with the words as blind bigot, sourball, crackpot or crank) in a debate is automatically losing the argument.
